I would love to chat with you about using essential oils aromatically. You know how sometimes fumes from a car can give you a headache? Well smelling essential oils can help uplift your mood, help a headache or stuffy nose, or help you relax before bed.
- Direct Inhalation
- Indirect Inhalation
- Diffusing
Indirect Aromatic Use:
One great way my daughter uses the respiratory blend aromatically is by putting 1-2 drops on a cotton ball and putting it in a snack size Ziploc bag. She can then carry it around with her and just open the baggie as she needs to. She uses this if she is stuffed up from a cold or allergies.
I love to use 3-4 drops of Lavender in a bath. I will sometimes add a little coconut oil, and oh my, SO RELAXING! I advise you to do this only right before bed because you will be useless afterwards.
Add Eucalyptus to a bowl of steaming hot water. Put a towel over your head and the bowl to make a tent.
Diffusing
I love to diffuse oils in the air. Depending on my purpose ie germ killing or mood uplifting, is what oil combo I will add. There are many diffusers out there. I like this one that I purchased in February. I also won this pro version, that has been great as well. Yes, I need two. I actually could use more because the kids like them in their rooms.
Direct
Holding the bottle right up to your nose and smelling it.
Aromatic use of essential oils is a great way to get started using them if you are skeptical.
I recommend Lavender for rest or our uplifting blend for dreary days.
